The C100 mkii has the same great cinematic look as DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras that makes them so popular for lower end video production, but with all the quality of life improvements that make it easy to just focus on capturing great images. The large bright LCD screen has options to use a variety of assistive features, such as zebras, peaking and waveform monitors, while the built in ND filters give you creative control of your depth of field by allowing you to use bigger apertures in bright situations.
The C100 mkii was one of the first cameras to feature Canon's Dual Pixel AF for continuous autofocus when shooting video, meaning the C100 mkii is a good choice of small camera for gimbal work.
The limited HD 4:2:0 codecs are perfectly adequate for web video, and with the use of an external recorder connected to the C100 mkii's clean HDMI output the C100 is capable of recording full broadcast spec HD.
