How To Hire

Our simple three-step process makes it really easy to order. 

Focus… browse our extensive equipment and accessories library and choose what you’d like and when you need it. 

Click… add to your basket and checkout. If it’s your first time ordering with us you’ll need to set up an account – this won’t take long, and you only need to do it once.

Zoom… we’ll whizz your order to you by courier, for noon on the day prior to your hire period.

Ordering And Returns

We want to make your order run as smoothly as possible, and we keep our processes simple and straightforward. 

In order to book a hire you will need to register on our website, please follow all the steps of this process and provide as much information as possible so that our office team can get your account verified and set up as quickly as possible. Typically, information only needs to be provided once, however if an order exceeds your insurance cover amount, your insurance provided has expired, or there's a change of delivery address, you may be asked to provide additional information on order completion.

Use the Search and Dates section on your tool bar to put in your shoot dates, and you can use that to search for any specific equipment you are after.
Once your dates are in you will be given the hire cost for the entire duration of your dates, along with any deposit you would be required to leave.

All prices are given on the website based on your hire dates, at that time. We regularly update our website prices and we do look to reduce daily rates over quieter periods to keep our rates as competitive as possible.

After your basket is full of the equipment you need for your hire dates, complete the checkout process, where you will be required to pay for the hire duration. Information on Payments and Deposits can be found in the Payment and Deposit section of our website.

You can book multiple dates in a single order, so if you have a run of shoots with varying kit, even if there's some crossover, simply put in which items you require on which dates, and let us organise the logistics. 

Once your order is complete, the goods to be despatched via courier to arrive with you the day before your first use day. ie. If you are using the equipment on Wednesday and Thursday, the delivery will be made on the Tuesday, with collection being made again on the Friday.

A Few Things You Need To Know Before You Order

You can hire equipment for up to 28 days – if you need it for longer, please speak to us as we would be able to offer better deals than our website algorithm will, so we have limited that to a 28 day period.
Our minimum hire charge is £50 + VAT, and you can choose any combination you need, including multiple hire dates. You’ll find all the charges with each product which is updated in real time when you change your hire period dates in the search bar.

Payment needs to be made via card, by someone aged 18 or over. You’ll be asked to supply us with some paperwork before we dispatch your items – information on that can be found in the Documentation section of our website. This page will also explain the limitations depending on the amount of documentation you are able to provide. 

If you have not provided the required documents, or you do not have adequate insurance (where required) then we will contact you, and if these cannot be provided we will cancel your order, and you may still be charged the cancellation fee

Courier Delivery Failure
In the rare event a courier cannot make delivery for any reason, the equipment will be taken to the local courier depot, and can be collected from there in the evening. They will leave a card with information on how to do this and how to contact them. They will only do this if there is no-one at your delivery address and they cannot contact you, so please make sure you or someone you trust is at your address to receive the delivery.

In the very rare event of the courier misplacing the order, we will endeavour to get the items either re-delivered, or replacement items sent out, for  later that day or Pre-10am the following day. Please let us know as soon as possible if your items have not arrived when expected, the more notice we have that items have not arrived, the sooner we can work with the courier company to rectify the situation.

Hire Periods And Travelling Abroad

If you need to take the equipment abroad that’s fine, please follow any relevant guidance and ensure that your equipment insurance will cover you for any possible loss or damage in the areas you are travelling.

We do not ship equipment outside of Mainland UK, you would need to receive the equipment at your UK address.

And Here’s How To Return Your Items…

We will send an email reminder the morning that your equipment is due to be collected. You will need to box up the items in the same way they were delivered to you, and make reasonable precautions to make sure they are secure inside the boxes. 
Please remove the old shipping label (to your address) and replace with the return address labels provided. If you have misplaced those labels please give us a call so we can advise on how to label the boxes. Then simply hand the boxes to the courier.

If you’d like to keep the equipment for longer, we’ll be happy to accommodate you if no one else has booked it. Please let us know as soon as possible.

Conversely if you’d like to return the equipment earlier, please just let us know and we’ll arrange collection. However, we can’t offer refunds for early return.

Damages And Replacements

In the event of any damage to any equipment or accessories we will inform you of the damage and, where possible, an estimated cost for repair or replacement. 
Repair costs and any unresolved missing accessories will be deducted from your deposit.
Any loss or damage which exceeds the deposit left will be invoiced for immediate payment.

Failure To Return The Items

It is your responsibility to ensure someone is at the collection address to hand the items to the courier, and to make sure all hired items are present and correct for return.

Failure to return items will be charged at 1.5x the 1 day rate for each day the items remain unreturned. You will also be charged the courier's failed collection cost.

Cancelling Your Order

If you need to cancel your order, please let us know as soon as you can. If you tell us within two working days prior to your dispatch date, we’ll just need to charge you a £25 fee for our admin costs. Cancellation charges will apply after this – either half or all of the hire charge, depending when you tell us – so do please let us know in plenty of time.
