The lightweight Carl Zeiss Loxia 21mm lens was designed as a super wide angle lens for the full frame mirrorless Sony A7 series of cameras, but works flawlessly with the rest of Sony's E Mount range such as the PXW FS9, FS7 and FS5.
The reduced distance between sony's E Mount and the sensor allows this wide lens to be designed in a compact chassis, while the fully manual focus and iris also contributes to its small size and low weight without compromising on image quality. These features make it the perfect choice for gimbal work, requiring wide angle cinematic quality glass, but without the weight.
The fast f/2.8 aperture, and smooth iris ring make it a great choice for video, but the brilliant optics make it a worthwhile lens for photographers looking for a lighter option, if you don't mind the lack of autofocus.
