The successor to the extremely popular PMW 200, the Sony PXW X200 features a triple 1/2 inch CMOS sensor, for high sensitivity and low noise at 1080p, exceeding the full HD broadcast production spec.
A mid-sized camcorder, the PXW X200 has everything a solo operator needs. The built in 17x Fujinon servo zoom provides the equivilent to a 29-499mm lens at super 35mm, ideal for events and ENG. The zoom can be used either in servo or manual mode, and the manual/auto iris and focus give the user as much or little control as they need. The built in ND filters make keeping up with fast moving situations easy, making this camera an all in one package.
Self shooters will appreciate the simple audio controls and two XLR inputs for recording sound, including phantom power for a range of professional microphones. Our PXW X200 kits include a top mic for on camera recording, but depending on the situation a varity of radio mics and booms can be used with the X200.
The PXW X200 records to Sony's robust SxS cards in either XAVC or MPEG codecs, while the HDMI and HD-SDI outputs on the camera make it a popular choice for live streaming events.
