This highly directional microphone is a great choice for recording individuals and small groups. Lightweight, but capable of producing excellent sound, the Sennheiser MKH 416 is the go to mic for sound operators in TV and film. Combined with a compact pistol grip and fluffy, this mic is an excellent choice for small documentary film crews, and corporate video productions.
Hand held or attached to a boom or mic stand via the pistol grip's standard standard 3/8 inch female thread, the 416 can be positioned just out of shot. The included microphone fluffy goes some way to deadening wind noise, however if you expect to be filming in windy situations our 416 blimp kit might be a better choice.
