Waterproof to 10 metres, and remotely controlled from your phone, the Hero 6 might not be the latest in GoPros line of mini action cameras, but it still performs admirably. The GoPro Hero 6 uses a rugged external exoskeleton, and features replaceable lenses, meaning it might be a better option for more dangerous activities.

For more rugged applications, the GoPro Hero 6 might be preferable to more recent iterations. With it's tough exoskeleton housing and replaceable lenses the GoPro Hero 6 still has many of the same features as the latest models.
In particular the Hero 6 Black is still capable of the same 4K resolutions and high speed shooting of up to 240fps at 1080p as the latest Hero 8 model, as well as digital image stabilisation. Combined with it's small size and light weight the Hero 6 is still an incredibly capable action camera for capturing POV footage, or getting unusual shots that just aren't possible with a regular camera.
The Hero 6 features a variety of crop modes for adjusting your shot, as well as touch screen and remote control via a smart phone.
The GoPro Hero 6 has been battle tested for television production for the last three years, and just because GoPro have released newer versions doesn't mean it isn't still up to the challenge.
