The Syrp Variable ND Filter allows you to quickly and smoothly adjust to changing light levels, allowing you to choose your aperture and maintain that cinematic shallow depth of field in bright environments. The included step down rings allow it to be used with a variety of lenses.
Particularly useful for DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras which do not have built in ND filters, the Syrp Variable Neutral Density Filter allows you to reduce the amount of light hitting the sensor, without adjusting the aperture or shutter speed. With greater control over light levels you can choose to use aperture and shutter speed for creative reasons, such as achieving a shallow depth of field while maintaining smooth motion in videos, and using slower shutter speeds to create blur in still photographs.
The Syrp Variable ND Filter reduces light transmission from 1 to 8.5 stops, and can be smoothly adjusted on the fly while shooting if light conditions change.
The Syrp Variable ND Filter works by rotating two polarising filters to vary the light transmission, this means it produces other polarising effects, such as reducing reflections and deepening the blues in the sky.
Our Syrp Variable ND Filter Kits fit 82mm filter rings, but include step down rings so they can be used with 77mm and 72mm filter rings, covering the most common lenses.
