The XDCA-FS7 extends Sony's popular PXW FS7 camera with features such as timecode in/out, internal ProRes 422 codec and RAW 4K output in addition to enabling it to be powered from V-lok batteries.

Attaching to the back of the Sony PXW FS7, the XDCA-FS7 adds a V-Lok battery plate to the camera, as well as a number of other professional features.
V-Lok batteries provide greater capacity than the standard Sony BP batteries, as well as additional power for accessories such as monitors and wireless video transmitters. The additional weight on the back of the camera also improves the hand held balance of the FS7 when using larger lenses such as cinema zooms and big telephotos.
The XDCA-FS also introduces the ability to use the popular Apple Prores 422 Codec, recording internally to the FS7's two XQD card slots. The XDCA-FS7 also outputs a RAW video signal over SDI, which can be used with an external recorder such as the Atmos Shogun Inferno to record 4K RAW footage, and up to 200fps in 2K RAW.
An important addition for multi camera setups, the XDCA-FS7 also provides genlock and timecode in/out to sync cameras for live broadcast and link cameras together in the edit.
