The Metabones Speedbooster Micro Four Thirds to Canon EF Smart adaptor allows you to use a wide range of Canon EF mount lenses on Panasonic's micro four thirds system cameras. The Speedbooster element increases the effective aperture of the lens by one stop, while changing the focal length to make it 0.71x wider.

Using high quality optics to shrink the image circle from attached EF lenses, the Metabones Speed Booster Ultra Micro Fourth Thirds to Canon EF Mount Smart Adaptor not only allows you to use Canon's range of popular EF Lenses with Panasonic Micro Four Thirds Mount cameras such as the GH5, but also increases the field of view so wide lenses are still wide.

The side effect is that the Speed Boster Metabones also increases the effective aperture of the attached lens by one stop, making it more useful in low light situations, and also giving a shallower depth of field than would be possible without the speed booster element. The Ultra version that we carry reduces the effective focal length of attached lenses by 0.71x, meaning you can still capture wide angle shots with wide angle lenses that otherwise wouldn't be possible due to the more cropped sensor.

The metabones maintains all the electronic communication such as autofocus and aperture control between the lens and body, as well as communicating necessary data about focal length and focus position.
