Miller Compass 25 is a system designed very similar to the popular Sachtler Video 18 tripods, and have earned their reputation through years of reliable use on productions around the world. The Compass 25 head delivers exceptionally smooth pan and tilt movements, with adjustable drag and counterbalance allowing you to fine-tune the feel of the head to suit everything from lightweight mirrorless cameras through to fully built-up cinema rigs.
Our Sachtler and Miller tripod systems are supplied with mid-level spreaders, which offer a significant advantage over traditional ground spreaders. Because they don't rely on flat ground, they're much quicker to set up on uneven terrain, steps, woodland, gravel or location work where perfectly level surfaces simply don't exist. This makes them a favourite for documentary crews, outside broadcasts and location filming.
The Compass 25 is equally at home supporting cameras such as the Sony FX9, or more lightweight such as the FX5 or FX3 (and plenty of options in between), providing the stability needed for long lenses, matte boxes, follow focus systems and fully accessorised camera builds.
