The Storm 3000 provides a reliable way of sending a camera's HD video feed wirelessly to a monitor, recorder or other video equipment without having to run a long cable between the camera and monitoring position. Both SDI and HDMI are supported, so it can be used with professional cinema and broadcast cameras as well as smaller mirrorless and hybrid cameras.

With up to 3000ft of range line-of-sight, it is particularly useful on larger locations, stages and sets where the director, DOP, focus puller or client monitoring position may be some distance from the camera. The increased range over the Storm 1000 gives more flexibility when setting up monitoring positions without having to keep them close to the camera.

One of the useful features of the Storm 3000 is the ability to attach a V-Mount battery directly to the receiver, allowing the receiver to be powered from a V-Mount without needing a separate power cable. This keeps the setup tidy and makes it particularly convenient when the receiver is mounted on a stand, monitor rig or other mobile setup. The receiver can also be powered via 2-pin LEMO where a wired power solution is preferred.

The Storm 3000 is well suited to film, television, commercial and corporate productions where multiple crew need to see the camera image away from the camera itself. Removing the physical video cable makes it much easier to position director or client monitors, focus-pulling stations and other monitoring equipment around a location.

The kit includes 1x Vaxis Storm 3000 transmitter and 1x receiver, providing a straightforward point-to-point wireless monitoring system.

Additional receivers are available  if you need to send the same camera feed to multiple monitoring positions at once.
