The Storm 1000S is useful on film, television, corporate and live productions where running a physical video cable between the camera and monitoring position isn't practical. The transmitter can be mounted on the camera or rig, sending the HD video signal wirelessly to the receiver, which can then be connected to a monitor, recorder or other video equipment.

Both SDI and HDMI are supported, giving the system plenty of flexibility depending on the camera and monitoring equipment being used. SDI makes it particularly useful with professional cinema and broadcast cameras, while HDMI allows it to be used with smaller mirrorless and hybrid cameras as well.

A wireless video link can be particularly useful for directors, DOPs, focus pullers and other crew who need to view the camera image away from the camera itself. It removes the need for a long video cable between the camera and monitor, making it easier to move around a location or keep monitoring positions away from the camera.

It's also popular for live events, allowing roaming cameras to transmit their video to a mixing desk for recording or live playback to a big screen.

The kit includes 1x Vaxis Storm 1000S transmitter and 1x receiver, providing a straightforward point-to-point wireless monitoring setup.

TX and RX can be powered by 2-pin Lemo, we provide a D-Tap to 2-Pin Lemo, so you would need a camera or battery with a D-tap output (batteries available to hire separately).
RX can also be Mains powered, but please let us know as this is not provided as standard.

Multiple Receivers

If you need to send the same camera feed to several monitoring positions, additional Vaxis Storm receivers  are available. This allows the same wireless transmission to be received by multiple monitors at once, which is particularly useful for larger productions with separate director, client, DOP or focus-pulling monitors.
