Glimmerglass filters have become one of the most popular diffusion filters in professional filmmaking thanks to their ability to create a subtle, polished cinematic look without making the image appear overly soft. They gently smooth skin tones, reduce the harshness of high-resolution digital sensors and introduce a pleasing glow around highlights, while preserving fine detail and overall contrast.

This set includes 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1 and 2 strengths, allowing you to choose exactly the level of diffusion your production requires. The lighter filters provide a very subtle enhancement that's ideal for interviews, documentaries and commercial work, while the stronger filters offer a more noticeable cinematic effect for drama, music videos, fashion shoots and beauty work.

Supplied in the industry-standard 4x5.65" format, these filters are fully compatible with professional matte boxes including the ARRI LMB 4x5  and MB-19, integrating seamlessly into both lightweight cinema camera builds and larger studio camera packages.

Glimmerglass also has a few variations with slightly different overall effects - to maintain the same softness but whilst warming skin tones then check out the Bronze Glimmerglass , if you're looking to lower resolution resulting in subtly softer details and contrast without effecting shadows then check out Black Glimmerglass .

For cinematographers looking to take the digital edge off modern cinema cameras while retaining a clean, premium image, the Tiffen Glimmerglass filters remain one of the industry's most trusted and versatile diffusion filter sets.
