The Shogun Inferno offers a much larger and more detailed display than a typical on-camera monitor, making it particularly useful for focus pulling and assessing the image on set. It includes professional monitoring tools such as focus peaking, false colour, waveform, vectorscope, zebras and image magnification, giving camera and lighting teams practical tools for judging exposure, focus and colour.

Built-in 4K Recorder

One of the major advantages of the Shogun Inferno is that it is also a 4K recorder. It can record high-quality camera signals in professional formats including Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHR, with support for resolutions up to 4K depending on the incoming signal and recording format. Recording is made to solid-state SSD drives, providing a reliable and practical recording medium that can be quickly swapped or offloaded after a shoot.

This makes the Shogun particularly useful when the camera's internal recording options are limited, or when a production wants to capture a high-quality master externally without adding a separate recorder to the setup.

On-Set Production

The Shogun Inferno works well mounted directly to a camera rig, tripod or other support, giving the operator or focus puller a clear view of the image.
