Although the 60X has been discontinued in favour of the new Aputure 80c , the 60x still proves very popular due to it's standard bowen mount, allowing more accessory options.
Although it does not support RGB, it is a very versatile and useful light for Daylight/Tungsten shooting, as it is fully Bi-Colour. It can also run off NPF Batteries as well as V-Mount batteries.

The Aputure LS 60x is a compact bi-colour LED light that delivers impressive output in a lightweight and highly portable package. While it doesn't offer the full RGB colour control of the newer LS 80c, its Bowens mount compatibility and adjustable colour temperature make it an extremely versatile choice for interviews, documentaries, corporate productions and location filming.
The LS 60x is designed for filmmakers who need a professional light that's easy to transport and quick to set up. Its bi-colour output allows the colour temperature to be adjusted from warm tungsten through to daylight, making it simple to match existing lighting or adapt to changing shooting conditions without the need for colour correction gels.
Unlike the newer LS 80c, the LS 60x doesn't feature RGB lighting effects, so it's intended primarily as a high-quality white light source rather than a creative effects light. However, one advantage it does have is its Bowens mount, allowing it to use a huge range of industry-standard light modifiers. Softboxes, lanterns, beauty dishes and reflectors can all be fitted, making the LS 60x much more adaptable when shaping light for different productions - whilst the 80c is much more limited with it's less-used Mini-Bowens attachment.
